Opole, June 10, 2025 – A significant milestone in Indo-Polish cooperation was achieved as the Indo-European Education Foundation (IEEF), in partnership with the University of Opole, and Kancelaria Adwokata i Radcy Prawnego Paweł Tyła i Krzysztof Tyła sp.k. / Law Firm of Attorney and Legal Counsel Paweł Tyła and Krzysztof Tyła sp.k., organized a landmark legal exchange program in Opole. This initiative marked the first-ever visit of Indian legal experts to the District Court in Opole (Sąd Okręgowy w Opolu – Wydziały III, IV, VII), where delegates engaged in an insightful dialogue with the presiding judge during live court proceedings.
The Indian delegation, comprising advocates, law professors, and law students, visited under the framework of “Academia-Industry Experience in the European Union – AIEEU (Short Visit_Academia-Cum-Industrial Experience_EU 27)”, an initiative organized by IEEF in cooperation with the University of Opole. This rare and impactful visit highlights the growing academic and legal collaboration between India and Poland.
Building upon a similar program held last year at the Nysa District Court in partnership with IEEF and PANS Nysa, this year’s engagement in Opole has further deepened institutional ties and fostered mutual understanding between legal professionals from both countries.
The visit also marked a historic first visit by Indian legal representatives to the Opole Bar Association / District Chamber of Legal Advisers (Okręgowa Izba Radców Prawnych), where initial discussions were held on potential exchanges between the Bar Council of Opole and the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa. This dialogue opens new opportunities for future cooperation at the bar level.
As the only Polish research institution solely dedicated to Indo-European cooperation, IEEF continues to drive impactful international partnerships, particularly within the legal, academic, and strategic sectors. This initiative represents not only an academic endeavor but also a strategic step toward establishing platforms for bilateral trade, business support, and legal consultation between India and Poland.
“We are proud to witness this breakthrough in legal diplomacy, which aligns with our long-term goal to enhance cooperation in law, research, innovation, and industry between our two nations,” said Prof. Dr. (Adv.) Pradeep Kumar, Founder and President of IEEF.
IEEF looks forward to building a long-term collaboration with Kancelaria Adwokata i Radcy Prawnego Paweł Tyła i Krzysztof Tyła sp.k., whose continued support will be instrumental in advancing future legal and academic initiatives across the Opole region.
