Building Bridges of Knowledge: IEEF Expands Partnership with MMM and SUT Poland

The Indo-European Education Foundation (IEEF) has taken another significant step in advancing its mission of building strong academic bridges between Europe and India by facilitating the expansion of cooperation between Marathwada Mitra Mandal (MMM), Pune, and the Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Poland.

On 26 June 2026, representatives of the three institutions signed a Letter of Intent, marking the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership focused on academic excellence, research collaboration, student mobility, and innovation.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Anna Chrobok, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education at the Silesian University of Technology, Mr. B. G. Jadhav, President of Marathwada Mitra Mandal, and Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar, President of the Indo-European Education Foundation.

For more than a decade, the Indo-European Education Foundation has been actively creating opportunities for meaningful cooperation between European and Indian higher education institutions. The newly initiated partnership with the Silesian University of Technology represents another milestone in IEEF's long-term strategy of fostering international academic collaboration.

Marathwada Mitra Mandal is one of Maharashtra's most respected educational organizations, overseeing a comprehensive network of universities, colleges, schools, research centres, and student residences. With over 55 years of educational excellence and serving more than 50,000 students annually across its institutions, MMM has become a leading force in higher education and professional development in India as an affiliated institution of SPPU.

By connecting MMM with one of Poland's premier technical universities, the Indo-European Education Foundation aims to create lasting opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty members from both countries.

The Letter of Intent reflects the shared commitment of all partners to promote internationalisation in higher education through collaborative teaching, research, and innovation.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Prof. Anna Chrobok highlighted the importance of strengthening ties with India, one of the world's fastest-growing knowledge economies.

"The signing of this Letter of Intent with the Indo-European Education Foundation and Marathwada Mitra Mandal is an important step towards the internationalisation of our university. We see tremendous potential for cooperation in both education and research, and we believe this partnership will create valuable opportunities for our students and academic community."

She further emphasized that international collaboration is essential for developing innovative educational initiatives and preparing graduates to succeed in a global academic and professional environment.

The Indo-European Education Foundation has played a central role in bringing together academic institutions from India and Europe by identifying complementary strengths and facilitating institutional partnerships.

According to Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar, President of IEEF, the newly signed agreement opens the door to a wide range of collaborative initiatives.

We are working towards launching student exchange programmes, joint research projects, dual degree opportunities, doctoral recruitment initiatives, and certified short-term academic programmes.
