The number of students from India in Poland is growing

17 October 2017, 5 pm

According to official statistics today there are about 3 000, but unofficially, based on data from this and previous semester, we can talk about 4 500 students. This number increases dramatically. We can confidently forecast that in a few years it will exceed 5 000, and in a few next years it may double and reach 10 thousand - said dr Pradeep Kumar  to Newseria -  the Polish News Agency.

Poland is one of the most attractive directions for Indian students.

- Fees for study in the United Kingdom or the USA are about 15 thousands pounds or dollars. In Poland students have to pay 2-5 thousands euros. Poland also has a unique offer to obtain a diploma from a well-known university that is recognized in all EU countries. Students understand that Poland is not only a tourist attraction but also a tempting alternative to education at a reasonable price  - dr Kumar explains.

Indian students prefer following courses of study: automotive, electronics, energy and nanotechnology, and MBA courses (Master of Business), which educate managers. They are also increasingly studying medicine, especially as India has changed its law on graduates. Any student who chooses an institution recognized by the Indian medical authorities (eg universities in Warsaw and Gdansk) can practice in India after returning home.

- This is annother area in which we can expect many more students. This is a good opportunity because it may also entail the flow of capital. Universities earn almost 50 thousands PLN per year. So students coming here supporting economic development in their target countries - says dr Pradeep Kumar.
