Strengthening International Academic Cooperation Through Erasmus+ Mobility and STRATCOMM Collaboration
Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar, President of the Indo-European Education Foundation, Poland, Faculty at the University of Opole, Poland, and Professor for International Entrepreneurship & Economics at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering, Hochschule Mittweida, University of Applied Sciences, Mittweida, Germany, had the privilege of participating in the TBU International Week 2026, hosted by Tomas Bata University in Zlín, Czech Republic, from April 20 to 24, 2026.
The visit was organised by Hochschule Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, Germany, under the Erasmus+ Mobility Programme supporting the STRATCOMM project in collaboration with the Indo-European Education Foundation. The programme continues to play an important role in promoting international academic exchange, intercultural dialogue, and sustainable cooperation within European higher education.
Held under the inspiring theme “Experience the World, Enjoy the Community,” the International Week brought together academicians, researchers, internationalisation experts, and higher education professionals from various countries to exchange ideas, share experiences, and discuss innovative approaches to education, communication, and global collaboration.

Academic Engagement and Lecture Delivery
As part of the academic programme, Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar delivered a lecture for Master’s students at the Faculty of Multimedia Communications titled “Intercultural Communication in Global Business: Connecting Minds Across Borders.” The lecture focused on the growing importance of intercultural competencies, global communication strategies, and cross-cultural understanding in today’s increasingly interconnected business environment.
The session received an enthusiastic response from students and was characterised by active participation, meaningful discussions, and strong academic engagement.
One of the most remarkable moments of my visit occurred on April 23, when my lecture was scheduled. Although the day had officially been declared the university’s Rector’s Holiday and Sports Day, students still attended the session in impressive numbers, demonstrating exceptional academic commitment, motivation, and enthusiasm for learning. The highly interactive atmosphere created an inspiring and memorable educational experience for everyone involved.

Strategic Meetings and Future Cooperation
In addition to teaching activities, Prof. Dr. Pradeep Kumar participated in several strategic meetings with representatives of Tomas Bata University in Zlín to discuss opportunities for future collaboration and institutional partnership development.
Discussions with Pavel Krutil, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications, and Mr. Pálka, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Management and Business, focused on strengthening cooperation through student and staff mobility, collaborative teaching initiatives, joint academic activities, and future international projects under the Erasmus+ framework.
The visit further strengthened existing academic relationships and opened new possibilities for long-term cooperation, including participation in future international teaching weeks, exchange programmes, interdisciplinary research, and collaborative educational initiatives within the European higher education ecosystem.

International Week Experience and Cultural Exchange
The International Week programme combined academic presentations, workshops, networking opportunities, and cultural activities, creating a highly enriching platform for professional exchange and intercultural learning. Participants explored themes related to digital innovation in education, international student integration, recruitment strategies, academic well-being, and emerging trends in higher education internationalisation.
One of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences was the International Food Festival organised by students from different parts of the world. It was truly inspiring to experience cultural diversity through food, traditions, and conversations while interacting with academicians, administrative staff, and students under one umbrella at Tomas Bata University in Zlín.
The festival perfectly reflected the spirit of intercultural exchange, inclusion, friendship, and global community promoted throughout the International Week.
Thanks to the excellent coordination of the International Office team, participants also had the opportunity to visit one of the region’s most renowned producers, RUDOLF JELÍNEK in Vizovice. The guided excursion provided valuable insights into the company’s production facilities and its remarkable history, proudly continuing a tradition of more than 130 years since 1891.
The successful organisation of the programme was coordinated by Martina Dokoupilová together with Patrik Foltýn, František Brázdilík, and the entire International Office team. Faculty-level coordination was excellently managed by Eva Prokopová from the Faculty of Multimedia Communications.
